3/16/2018: Shattered Windows and the Sound of Drums

A darkness is on the rise... or rather, a tainted light. The Scarlet Crusaders never do forget, and have several offshoots. One of these offshoots has of course focused on the surviving San'layn in Northrend and forsaken in general. The Kingdom unfortunately is located in the Borean Tundra, and this is exactly where this unknown extreme sect of Crusaders makes their strikes. Now knowing more about the Kingdom, these crusaders launched a surprise attack upon outposts and various buildings occupied by the Kingdom, intent on purging them from the land. Luckily the Kingdom won against this first strike... but this is by no means the last.

Those that fought last night include Queen Vio'thel on her serpent Jaing'shi, Ambassador Goliath, Kingdom Ally Archiron, (surprisingly) the dragon Anca, Kingdom member Wytherin, Ambassador Duas, a mysterious aid known as Cappriona, Kingdom member Leithe, Shapeshifter Thay, Princess Nar'lytha, and Prince Marenthal. A mysterious goblin from the shadows also aided the Kingdom: Lebli. Both Anca and Lebli are Keep members--interesting how they did indeed help the Kingdom out.

What does this mean, going forward, for the Kingdom? The main force of these crusaders were taken out, but the Kingdom suffered great losses too in terms of life and building damage...

OOC: We tested out the basics of the new system tonight! Read below for more information!

The only things from the new system implemented are the HP increase and subtraction of numbers. Modifiers are not taken into account this time (those are unfinished). Everyone has 200 HP. The NPC attacking will roll based on the specific /roll the wave was given. If they roll higher, you take damage in terms of the difference in numbers. But if you roll higher, THEY take the damage as difference in a counter attack. This rings true no matter who is attacking, but there is a roll order and everyone including the enemy has a chance to attack. You emote therefore a counter if you roll higher and they take a chunk of health based on your roll minus theirs.

MAJOR NOTE: This system is a work in progress.  You cannot lifesteal in this, and if you decide to AoE, you roll /10 against the NPC (they all would roll /10 back). I don’t know how the numbers will play out, but we will see how it works tonight! Max 3 AoE targets!

3/11/2018: Let's Settle This.

A peaceful exchanged occurred between the members of the Keep and Kingdom. Goliath was given back to the Kingdom, while Lurath and Angel were given back to the Keep. Interesting discoveries were made when a deceased Keep member's son returned and joined the Keep as well. This took place in an arena maintained by goblins, of whom stood guard to make sure that the Keep and Kingdom members would not erupt into battle. Some minor threats were exchanged between the factions, but nothing major other than reminding one another of their pasts. Basically, they did mention the Demented as a threat to look out for, and agreed to team up if the time came for a ceasefire on grounds that the Demented needed to be stopped. Therefore, upheld again and now as a concrete precedent--should the Demented attack Keep or Kingdom on their lands, either faction can aid the other under ceasefire and likely should do so. If things go well enough, both factions can agree at least to share the battlefield and fight for the safety of the other against a much worse evil.

3/9/2018: The Silence of a Jackal's Bark

Following the news that both a Keep and Kingdom member had been captured by the infamous and equally annoying Khan, both forces converge on the ancient city of Dire Maul. Upon arrival they confront each other with insults and mistrust, nearing the possibility of cutting into one another before they set foot within the city. Despite the tension between Keep and Kingdom, Duas had one goal in mind, to save his Wytherin from the mad showman Khan. Putting aside his mistrust of the Keep he leads the first charge into the ancient, both forces following him hesitantly, both because of their mistrust of the other, and Khans known trickery. Upon entering the great gates a dark magic befalls the entire city shutting out any major magic source, rendering almost everyone in the assault, powerless save their brute strength and skill. After a fight with a 35 foot tall grotesque monstrosity and suffering hardly any damage they press on to save their allies. During a second confrontation against two demons Haazinul and Kilzanara one of the kingdom members, Dora decides to try and show off for the Kingdom whilst moonlighting as a demented assassin by attempting to eviscerate Jukai, a peace loving monk. However, Khan would not tolerate this act against his pre scripted show and threatened everyone that if they didn't do as told, they would suffer the same fate as his captives. Sucking it up they continued to fight the two demons until Khan grew bored and banished them, urging the group forward. It was all going fine until they came to one room. A room constructed by Aluthine to cause madness and embarrassment.

Each member had to place their hand on a dark handprint. Some received whisper containing tips to be able to proceed with their assault to save their allies, while others received evil whispers, showing dark futures that could rip either keep or kingdom apart. As the group tried to solve the riddles, the room was ripped from Azeroth and suspended in the twisting nether, slowly sucking the air out of the room. Time and time again the team tried to solve the riddle, least of all they died and Khans captives died a worse death. Finally the riddle was solved and the answer was simple. Hug each other. Awwww, so cute. Pressing onwards the team arrives in a coleseaum where Khan finally shows himself with Jack to his left and Wytherin to his right. After a short speech he kicked his two captives into the arena with the others. He summoned a portal to an unknown location telling the group that if they didn't go through it, they would be crushed with a continent sized meteor, summoned by another group of warlocks. Faced with dying in vein, no magic to save them, and Khans reputation of trickery on their backs, the group reluctantly goes through the portal to arrive on the shores of westfall. Believing they got off lucky the group relieves only until they realize Jack was the last one through. As he appeared, he had a barbed fel lance protruding from his chest, hitting his major arteries. In the arms of Elias the two shed tears about the inevitable. With his last words Jack asked both keep and Kingdom one favor. To do a near impossible task. Work together to bring down Khan and whoever has allied with him. The two forces parted ways, Wytherin in Duas' arms en route to the kingdom for healing, and Jack's body being returned to the Keep. Are there dark days on the horizon for those of the torn? Or is it a new dawn?

3/3/2018: A Little Sour:

An event turned into conflict once more, the Keep had a gathering on the shores of the Fjord only to have a member known as Xander go off the deep end and sling accusations at the Blood Commander, Elias, about how he is very uncaring. The Blood Commander did not take this sitting down and after tolerating taunts and arguments, lost control and lunged at him. A short battle ensued before both parties backed off and resorted to yelling. This resulted in Xander being banned and the Commander being quite sour. Further conflict stung at the members of the Keep as the Demented decided to taunt them a bit. A silver lining here, however, is that some new members did end up joining the Keep as the event was intended. Unfortunately, the Commander is very soured after this incident, and Xander is no longer allowed back into the Keep.

2/23/2018: Fine Tuning Demented Leadership:

The dim cave appears empty but arcane energy tears open a portal on the ledge and outsteps a tall San'layn, scarlet eyes scanning the crowd. Crimson flames spark around the corners of the room casting the meeting in a red glow. As she begins speaking her voice, amplified by magic, booms through the cavern so everyone can hear. "We stand here, some cast out and others hunted... our ambitions burdened by the morals and virtues of others" She spits out the last few words venomously, "But we will no longer have our goals be sidetracked by the simple need to survive... no longer will we be burdened by the Keep, Kingdom, or any other who will stand in our way! I am Alyssa Fireblossom, I was Manic, I was Keep, I was kingdom... now I stand before you as Demented and I ask all of you to stand united and follow me, for I will lead our conquest against those who seek to oppress us. Whether you seek chaos, power, or control... we will be your weapon, as you will be ours... I promise you that we shall see the kingdom and keeps downfall, and the world will bow to the Demented and their iron will!"  As she finishes her speech the fires surge, and nearly blinds everyone for a moment before dying back down to the dim glow. Alyssa eyes the gathered congregation and smirks beneath the mask covering her face. "Now... shall we begin?"

At the Demented Meeting, under the new leadership of Alyssa Fireblossom, the gathering organized itself and drew out a plan to establish the faction. Knowing that both the Kingdom and the Keep could easily defeat the Demented as they are now, Alyssa seeks to strike at opportunity. Under the guise of the kingdom, the group planned a raid on the Keep while discussing the future of a Demented base. With their unfortunately small numbers at the moment, Alyssa continued the discussion into the topic of battle tactics where the gathered Demented learned of the new organized Demented military. The faction would be situated into small warbands on the battlefield, commanded by captains who took their orders directly from Alyssa. They will use guérilla style strategies to minimize losses and utilize surprise to obtain victory against their rivals. Wanting to stay in the shadows and manipulate the Keep and kingdom to fight each other, the Demented must consolidate their power. With the meeting concluded, the rebirth of the Demented has only just begun.

(Alyssa here, fantastic event everyone. I'm sorry to those who couldn't show but don't worry, two more events coming in the near future! If you have any questions direct them to me in game or at Nyx in the discord. Happy hunting, fellow Demented :D )

2/16/2018: The Official Reformation of the Demented:

This faction has established that it indeed has no morals at all and will do ANYTHING to get their targets. The Demented has formed with a council and proper system of communication, that being the typical guild communicators. The council includes: Xio, Sath, and Yeyao. Others have objectives of bloodshed and the like, and are free within the faction to be used to obtain bodies, souls, or what have you with no thought or value to life. They are targeting the Kingdom and Keep primarily because many have enemies within both factions. Will the Kingdom and Keep soon enough be brought together against this horrible, disturbing new threat?

2/9/2018: The Problem in Crystalsong Forest:

A rogue San'layn has been tormenting the local wildlife and Thaylia in the enchanted woods of Crystalsong. Due to this the shapeshifting monk requested a small group go and deal with her, possibly capturing and being her to their side... The keep on the other hands where informed by Kiristov that his sister has woken up after being dead for quite a while. Seeking to being her in he brought into the Keep. Once their both sides clashed, at the start it seemed as if Kingdom would make off with the San'layn here by known as Lyarin but this only turned as it went on. Kiristov being able to make away with her while those fighting took care of the Kingdom. --Written by Rozz

2/2/2018: The Rise of the Demented...

A very evil faction that was but a whisper in the guild's history regarding present day has shown its true colors once more. Old enemies thought to be slain are in fact rising again, causing fear in both the Keep and Kingdom. Several Keep members tried to put out the flames of the Demented as they sparked, but sadly the main contributor to this conflict got away. Inevitably, he will be gaining allies. Indeed, a new chapter has struck the <The Torn>. A very dark one.

1/27/2018: Fangtastic concert!

The members of the Kingdom and Keep came together at Gallywix to celebrate the fall of the Legion. This concert can be seen here if you missed it:

1/8/2018: Cease this Fire at Once

This event marks a month of ceasefire strictly in terms of land dispute—individuals will still likely clash. However, fun events like parties and such will be the make-up of events over the next month. The Keep and Kingdom returned the prisoners they had with one another, and the turn out was HUGE! Emotions were ripped into from various points of conversation, threats and insults were thrown, but all in all things went pretty well. This marks a new era for the Keep, too! See Elias’s speech:

Elias straightens up, looking to Zulu, and commenting, "I have heard that my people elected a couple of people in my absence to lead the Keep. I am proud of them for doing so, and for once in my life I -can- be a bit humble. I made a mistake, I overextended, and damned my Kingdom. I am lucky they were able to pick up my pieces. The San'layn of the Keep were in danger, they always have been, from those that seek to -exterminate- our kind. We approach things in a different way than the Kingdom, with open arms and acceptance. A few years ago my eyes were opened to just how -horrible- of a monster I was. I ripped mortals to shreds without a second thought for their thoughts, their emotions, their personalities. I assumed they were -nothing-…like everyone assumes me, for being what I am. But you know what? It matters not what you are, but who you are. Lady Vio'thel, our people will one day be accepted. Bloodshed is not the way to go. Defending Azeroth -is-. And I want to make it clear. The Keep has changed so much since we broke off from that mentality that you hold. We welcome Dragons, demons, a mixture of living races to boot, you name it. We give them the family that they never had, that -I- never had. Therefore I am making my decision clear. Zulu'jenai, should he choose to accept, along with Xul'luk will be leading our people with me. Yes, my San'layn -and- the others of the Keep here. No longer are we dominated strictly by vampyrs in my Keep. We are a mixture, like the Horde. We are the Keep. As such, there should be more representation. I will continue to lead--but not alone, again, should those that I mentioned choose to accept this heavy task. Them, and perhaps more, later on. They have proven to aid me greatly, have helped my people, have shown compassion. Something that the likes of the Kingdom will never understand."

With this sparks a new way of thinking and acceptance into the Keep. From now on, the Keep will be more accepting and a safe haven for more than just the San’layn that live there—which was true before, but now the trust has been made solid.

1/7/2018: Brother Trouble

An old ‘friend’ of the Keep known as Jack has seeked out the aid of Lady Fallyn, Blood Knight Ysila, and Warlock Rym to search for his fallen brother Xander. There was debate via communicators as to whether or not they should trust the paladin known as Jack, but things were worked out, and off the team went to go search for Xander. Jack mentioned that he likely was in Grizzly Hills, and Falls took in Jack’s scent to perhaps locate his brother due to family blood being somewhat similar. They searched for a bit when suddenly Falls caught a familiar scent, likely Xander, but also the scent of trouble. You see, Nar’lytha (a recently turned Kingdom member) was with her skeletal drake and some Kingdom forces, secretly intruding upon the Keep’s territory in Grizzly Hills. Her forces were digging up someone of whom happened to be Xander. Basically, the Kingdom wanted to obtain the man (a San’layn) to join their forces. Things went horribly wrong when Xander was dug up and lunged for Ysila who was in disguise.  She dodged this but her disguise broke, revealing herself as Keep member. All out battle proceeded from there, with the Keep members outnumbering Kingdom and a San’layn (Xander) deprived of blood striking out at everyone there. Soon Zulvie the bear druid joined the Keep forces, strengthening their cause. The battle continues, but Falls takes some massive hits and is knocked out completely from the fray, unable to battle after taking very deadly strikes from Nar’lytha followed by blacking out due to a blunt hit to the head. She is brought back to the Keep via Jack, and the rest of the crew stay to battle still. Balefire arrives, an enemy to all, and takes control of Nar’s skeletal drake. The battle rages on, but with a very powerful blow delivered to Nar by Rym, it’s clear that she needs to flee. The dragon still was under Balefire’s control until some Kingdom members broke his focus, slamming him off of it and allowing Nar to mount it again and flee. With the Kingdom gone, the remaining Keep members needed to focus on Xander and the new threat, Baelfire… But soon enough Balefire is cut by Ysila a bit, however Xander is out of control so needed to be taken care of. Especially after throwing Zulvie the bear at Rym the goblin. You can imagine how much ‘ow’ that caused. Well, Jack returned from the Keep and like a light filled comet slammed down right upon Balefire, giving yet another meaning to ‘ouch that hard to hurt’. With him out of the way, the focus was turned to Xander, and eventually he too was knocked out by a combination of Jack and Zulvie’s efforts. Zulvie got the last hit on that end! In the end, the Keep was able to claim victory and defend their territory!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1/3/2018: More members joined the Keep, including some relatively shifty characters. Discussion was held, and the possibility of a prisoner exchange was brought up again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12/28/2017: BURN THEM OUT! LIKE RATS!

The Keep struck in FULL FORCE on eastern Dragonblight, creeping in with machines that further secure their presence there. These interactions have likely stirred the 'neutral' dragons still in that area, however the dragons of the Keep will need to reassure them that their presence is benevolent. During this conflict, a 'princess' (proclaimed by the 'queen', who merely holds the title of a queen without the actual power of a Blood Queen for obvious reasons) was captured. Arkanyne is in the claws of the Keep now, which brings up a possibility that a possible exchange for prisoners can occur again. HOWEVER, this is not total victory for the Keep, because the Kingdom's hold on both Borean Tundra and the Basin is becoming a lot more powerful.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12/25/2017: Winter Veil celebrations! The Keep was able to relax a little bit, though the worry for their commander still hung in the air. Several Keep members attended a gathering and exchanged gifts while telling stories. The festivities allowed a few to enjoy life and undeath a bit more. But the fun isn't to last, sadly.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mid-December: Tensions rise between the Keep and Kingdom, as usual, and the Keep is building forces to chase out the Kingdom from its main territory in Dragonblight. Zulu'jenai and Xul'uk are elected temporary Commander and General, respectively. A full frontal attack is brewing. However, Kingdom is gaining power in the Tundra, likely securing that as their main base very soon.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12/2/2017:  A battle struck in the Zul'drak, where both sides clashed in the center of the zone. The sides were even, as you will see below. The Keep took victory, successfully holding yet another zone in eastern Northrend. The Kingdom did not leave empty handed, however... they managed to capture the Blood Commander of the Keep, Elias Cipher.

Participants:

Keep: Lith, Brav, Zulvie, Anca, Rozz, Angel, Firesorrow, Eli

Kingdom: Orm, Ark, Yeyao, Thay, Vanessa, Nar’lytha, Kal, Ryz

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11/20/2017: Some Kingdom members discussed the aftermath of this battle, and a conversation via communicator occurred. After a lot of debate... both the Kingdom and Keep decided to meet in a neutral area and negotiate the fate of prisoners on each side. Where? Gallywix. This might sound silly, however neither side will be able to rip the other apart in that area, and perhaps the 'good vibes' will keep people who attend calm...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11/17/2017: The forces of the Keep had inside knowledge that a strike was planned at Grizzly Hills by the Kingdom. They met their enemy at a settlement first--and defended the area with full aggression. Clearly more prepared this time, the Keep had the advantage in the fray. After an intesne battle, the Kingdom had to flee due to the Keep outnumbering them. The Keep gained a couple of prisoners in the process, and finally were able to show that they indeed have teeth too.

Participants and Noteable contributions:

Keep: Tauroxx (Used elemental forces to crush the enemy), Fallyn and Rexton (Together used the forces of Frost, Arcane, and...song? to overpower Kingdom members), Angel (Kept the Keep strong with his helpful healing), Tiedi (handed out free knuckle sandwiches), Anca (Toasted some hotheads from the Kingdom), and Rym (Fel magic+ ticked off goblin warlock= recipe for disaster)

Kingdom: Arkanyne (used her new powers well to impress her new comrades), Thaylia (impressive use of chi magic to heal Kingdom members), Ryzrel (him and his void walker 'Chuck' managed to royally piss off a few members of the Keep), Orm (Brutal warrior tactics set many Keep members behind), Maxximus (Really pissed off several of the Keep members by shooting them but in the end got captured anyway)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10/27/2017: ((OOC note: The guild entered a hiatus but now plot will be proceeding weekly.)) The Kingdom has continued their conquest and struck at the Borean Tundra, the area where Naxxanar floats to be specific. The battle was long and bloody--both sides gained captives, and the Kingdom emerged victorious in the end. Vharana and Leyoric of the Keep have been imprisoned by the Kingdom, while Goliath has been snatched up by the Keep. No doubt, there will be interrogations moving forward. Those that participated were as follows (with noteable contributions):

Keep:  Tramarigosa (dealt massive damage with a critical AoE), Redthalen(Survived well up until the end, dealing reasonable damage to enemy team), Anca (Also was a formidable opponent to the Kingdom), Leyoric (used necromancy to aid Keep forces), Vharana (kept the attention of a Kingdom warrior but in the end fell), and Arcangel (important healer for the Keep.)

Kingdom:  Maxximus (Lead the charge, got smacked down hard by retaliation), Autumauro (mystery druid that seemed to focus on attacking Keep forces), Goliath (fought with afflictions as usual but fell in the end), Orm (somehow managed to critical several times and wipe out his opponent), Duas (dealt a lot of damage and stood strong until the end), and Vanessa (wild card in this fight, attacking random Keep members frequently.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8/10/2017: The Kingdom has began their conquest, and a great battle broke out on this date. Heavy wounds were dealt on both sides, but in the end, the Kingdom won. This marks a huge moment for the antagonists of our guild. Well, antagonists depending on who you ask, of course. To the Kingdom, this battle is glorious, and no longer are they holding back from moving forward until the entirety of Northrend is theirs... and then, it's time to move onto other lands within Azeroth. The Kingdom is grand, it cannot be stopped! The mortals will pay for what they've done! (Note: Conquest only applies if you seek to acknowledge the plotline. Otherwise, toons out in the world remain unaffected.) From now on, any Keep member that wanders into the Basin should definitely be wary.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7/11/2017: Tensions between the Kingdom and Keep are growing, especially since dead bodies of scouts have shown up in places where they frequent. The bodies appear to be the work of both, depending on what side killed who. Oddly enough, none actually know who the killers are specifically in either side, as both vehemently deny it.

Also, a guild mate that vanished quite a while ago is back. He is a powerful priest, and has found an interesting sanctuary, appearing to have good intentions and wanting to bring everyone, including Keep and Kingdom, together. Those that attended his event were put off quite a bit.
