The warchief has committed an atrocity the Keep will not soon forget. With the burning of Teldrassil came a great decision... should the Keep detract from the Horde, or should they remain, watch, and wait? The members of the Keep are already to be killed on sight in many instances--they cannot show their true natures in major cities. But being cut off from resources entirely would be a bad thing. Realistically, they have assumed that the other leaders of the Horde are not happy about this, and more answers will be given soon. Therefore, the decision has come to not support the needless slaughter of innocent civilians, and to destroy any wandering fanatics that happen to be around. No one will miss one here and there every so often... right? Anyway, the Keep is housing some displaced Kal'dorei, aiding them in healing until they can be released to Stormwind city. There is plenty of room within the Keep to do so.
“I watched as we were going to capture that tree. The plan was so perfect. Occupy the tree, protect ourselves. The Alliance wouldn't have a foot to stand on, not with our ranks guarding their precious tree. We would secure Kalimdor for the Horde! Maybe the Keep and my people could finally have a place in the megafaction. I had promised my friend, Wendiga, that I'd keep a lookout for her family, and aid them in escaping being hostages when the time came. She understood that this was war, and had accepted that we\'d be on opposing sides once again. That did not mean, of course, that we would need to provide massive fatal blows to our friends by any means. Azeroth is in pain, Magni has told us this--while fighting this silly war against the Alliance and eradicating soldiers here and there, we could turn our attention on the bigger issues.
...That's when everything went wrong.
Burn it.
What?!
Burn it!
Saurfang screamed for them to stop... but the night sky lit up with fire, and I looked on in sheer horror. There were only civilians left in there... what happened to the hostage situation?! What happened to cutting down only those that were in my way and were soldiers facing against me?! Thousands of innocent people were burned alive, or suffocated by smoke... I took arms against Arthas for this very reason, I broke from the shackles of his control for this reason... I died to prevent such a thing from happening. This... this is an atrocity that cannot be forgiven. For hell's sake, I'm a San'layn. I cut people down in my way, rip their throats out for food, devour their flesh and blood. And yet, I felt a shiver run through my bones, and knew this day that we were being lead by true evil. I am not going to be a mindless puppet of a... FREAK…again. Our warchief is weak. You cut down a solider facing you, you look them in the eyes. You see the light fading from them and you revel in the blood pumping out of their veins. You don't slaughter thousands for the sake of just doing so.
The Keep isn't filled with angels... but we certainly aren't filled with mindless zombies or psychopaths. I think it's safe to say that we will not be supporting this 'cause' any longer. I know I won't be.
